This series documents Ghana’s history, including schools, hospitals, national leadership, and political governance. Materials address the transition from British colonial rule to independence and Ghana’s foreign relations, including official travel to the United States. The series contains substantial documentation of President Richard Nixon’s visit to Ghana in 1957.

Graduates files contain mainly photographs and photomontages. Photographs include graduation portraits, photographs of graduation ceremonies, and candid photographs of graduates. Additional documentation of graduations is found elsewhere in the archives, often filed under school names.
