Newspaper clippings related to the construction of a building named after former Morgan State president Martin D. Jenkins. This folder mainly contains photographs of Jenkins, photographs include Jenkins with Senator Fulbright and President Eisenhower, also included is a typewritten document related to Jenkins having Charles Drew perform a hernia operation on him. Notes on his wife's death are also included; President Martin D. Jenkins of Morgan State College announced at the Commencement Exercises the conferment of a honorary degree unto the world famous scholar and writer, W.E.B. Dubois; Dr. Martin D. Jenkins retired effectively as president of Morgan State College on September 11, 1970; Born 1904, Director of the Office of Urban Affairs of the American Council on Education; Morgan State College president Dr. Martin Jenkins was awarded a grant of $ 20,460 to sponsor a six-week Summer Science Training Program for high ability secondary school students, the National Science Foundation announced the news on January 12, 1963; Dr. Martin Jenkins, President of Morgan State College; Dr. Jenkins was a brilliant educational research specialist.
